PSX Snaps Five-Week Losing Streak as KSE-100 Adds 4,034 Points in a Week
Pakistan Stocks End a Five-Week Slide
The KSE-100 gained 4,034.37 points, or 2.5%, in the week before 2 November 2026, breaking a five-week losing streak.
Why it turned
- Oil relief: Pakistan is a big energy importer, so lower crude prices ease pressure on the current account and the rupee.
- Value buying: after five weeks of losses, many large dividend-paying stocks looked cheap to local institutions.
Is the trend back?
One good week does not make a new uptrend. Monday's narrow, choppy session showed buyers are still cautious, and most of the market's direction is tied to Middle East headlines.
How to read a streak break
Traders often wait for a second higher weekly close before treating a bounce as a trend change. Until then, rallies can be sold into.
