Spot Bitcoin ETFs Lose $643 Million in a Day, Ending a Four-Day Inflow Run

3 November 2026

ETF Investors De-Risk

US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded about $643 million in net outflows on the first full trading day after the Binance hack, wiping out four straight days of inflows.

The monthly picture

October 2026 ended with about $515 million of net outflows, the ETFs' first monthly outflow since June.

How bad is it?

Analysts called it a de-risking move rather than capitulation. One noted that the day's withdrawals were less than 1% of total fund assets. It is also hard to say how much of the outflow was caused by the hack and how much by wider market nerves.

Why ETF flows matter

ETF flows show what traditional investors are doing with Bitcoin. Sustained inflows have supported past rallies; sustained outflows remove a key source of buying.
