US Spot Crypto ETFs Bleed $535 Million in a Day, Pushing 2026 Cumulative Bitcoin Flows Negative

7 November 2026

US spot cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds suffered a sharp reversal late in the week, recording roughly $534.7 million in combined single-day net outflows as traditional equity markets tumbled. Spot Bitcoin ETFs accounted for $430.2 million of the exits, while spot Ethereum ETFs saw around $100 million in net redemptions.

The heavy early-November withdrawals—totalling nearly $870 million across the first week of the month—pushed cumulative 2026 year-to-date net flows for US spot Bitcoin ETFs into slightly negative territory (around -$502 million), with total assets under management hovering near $96.65 billion.

What happened

Just 24 hours earlier on 4 November, Bitcoin and Ether ETFs had snapped multi-day outflow streaks with modest inflows of $74.6 million and $53 million. That tentative recovery evaporated as macro funds de-risked on Thursday. Fidelity's FBTC led the Bitcoin redemptions with roughly $199.9 million in outflows, followed by BlackRock's IBIT at around $105 million, alongside outflows from Grayscale and ARK 21Shares products.
